Abba Dabba Summer Theatre
From Nancy Topper
Abba Dabba Summer Theatre will
once again be held at Perkins. Directors Tim and Nancy Topper will host a
variety of classes offered June 16th through July 18th. Students have an
opportunity to join us for a single week course or spend the entire five
weeks singing, dancing, acting, improvising and creating drama!
Each class ends with a special
presentation for parents friends and family. Don't miss out on the fun!

Summer
Dance Camp 2008

Session 1 - June 9th - June 13th
Students entering 1st, 2nd & 3rd grades
Session 2 - June 16th - June 20th
Students entering 4th, 5th & 6th grades
Tuition: $100.00
Students will spend fun-filled
mornings learning new dance routines. The dancers will develop and enhance basic
jazz and tap skills, begin to understand and develop stage presence and learn
and perform jazz and tap dances.

Session 1 will have a short
performance on Friday, June 13th at 12:00pm.

Session 2 will have a short
performance on Friday, June 20th at 12:00pm.

Engineering
Discovery Camp

Engineering Camp Director
Engineering Camp is a hands on
adventure into the principles of Engineering. Using our Lego lab students learn
about mechanical enginerring. We have team work challenges that help students
discover ways to apply the principles. Students love the activities and each
year is a new experience. The camp is offered 2 weeks, students may attend one
or both weeks. Brochures are in the magnet office.
Perkins Summer Camp Scholarships
PME gives out a limited amount of
scholarships for the following summer camps held at Perkins for Perkins
students: Dance, Drama, Spanish, Art, Music and Engineering Camps.
Scholarships are limited and will be awarded on the basis of need and
teachers' recommendations. All applications will remain confidential. You
may download the application here or pick one up in
the front office. The deadline to submit the application to the Magnet
office is May 9th.
